Vatan Party Deputy Chief of Staff Oğuzhan Balkan attempted suicide yesterday evening in Taksim, Istanbul.
According to a report by Dilek Yaman Demir from Ekol TV, it was learned that Balkan shot himself with a firearm.
The first intervention for Balkan was performed at the scene. It was noted that Balkan, who was transported to Taksim Training and Research Hospital while unconscious, is in critical condition.
While teams are deepening the investigation into the incident, no statement has been made regarding the reason for Balkan's suicide attempt.
