Veered off the road, fell into a building gap

The accident occurred at approximately 16:15 in the Bahçelievler neighborhood of Çengelköy, Üsküdar. According to allegations, the car with license plate 34 GZZ 246 went out of control when the female driver, N.A., pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake while attempting to enter the residential complex. 

The car veered off the road, fell into the gap between the road and a building in the complex, and ended up upside down. While the driver sustained minor injuries in the accident, the passenger in the front seat, F.A., and another female passenger whose name has not yet been learned escaped the accident unharmed. It was also learned that there was a dog in the car at the time of the accident. Fire department teams arriving at the scene upon notification rescued N.A., who was trapped in the vehicle, and handed her over to medical teams. Police teams took security measures in the surrounding area.

"ONLY HER HEAD SWELLED UP"

Güven Akgül, who witnessed the accident, said, “I thought the vehicle in front of me was going to park on the sidewalk while I was riding my motorcycle. It went up onto the sidewalk, she never took her foot off the gas, and it flew off the ledge. I ran over, and a citizen in another vehicle that stopped on the road also came. 

I pulled two women out through the side door. I took the dog out first. I couldn't get the woman in the driver's seat out; she was trapped. The fire department team got her out. They are safe and sound; only one of them had her head swell up. They were in shock, they didn't speak at all. The ambulance came and took the injured person. They are currently towing the vehicle,” he said.
