While the defendant Hasbi Dede, who is being tried without arrest, did not attend the third and final hearing of the case held behind closed doors at the Görele 1st Criminal Court of First Instance, the lawyers for both parties were present. After hearing the defense statements, the court panel announced its verdict during a recess.

The court found that Hasbi Dede had committed the crime of "sexual harassment against a child" and sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months in prison. It was reported that no discretionary reduction was applied to the defendant and that the deferment of the announcement of the verdict was not deemed appropriate. It was also learned that a conviction was issued for the crime of "assuming responsibility for a crime."

On the other hand, his daughter A.D., who had claimed that she was the one who wrote the message sent from the defendant's phone, was sentenced to 4 months in prison for "assuming responsibility for a crime." This sentence was reduced to 16 days after applying reductions, and it was decided to defer the announcement of the verdict.

Speaking in front of the courthouse after the verdict, Sena Nur Sarıal, the lawyer for the victim Tuana Elif Torun, stated that the decision sets a precedent, saying, "The court found that the defendant committed the crime and sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months in prison, deciding not to defer the announcement of the verdict. Justice has been served for our client. We believe this decision will be an important example for those who experience similar situations and cannot speak up."

The victim's uncle, Mehmet Salih Torun, stated that justice had been served, adding, "We believe that those who remain silent about such incidents should also be questioned. It was important for us that justice was served."

Meanwhile, it was observed that the victim's relatives and school friends waited in front of the courthouse with a photograph of Tuana Torun during the final hearing.
