Very harsh words from İmamoğlu: 'The decay has reached massive proportions, the system has collapsed!'

Ekrem İmamoğlu, the CHP's presidential candidate and Mayor of Istanbul, who has been imprisoned in Silivri Prison since March 23, continues to send messages regarding current issues.

In his latest statement released through his lawyers, İmamoğlu criticized the Presidential Government System with harsh words.

Stating that "we must protect our country and our state," İmamoğlu said, "Justice and merit have been replaced by a mindset that cannot utter two words while everyone's identity information has been stolen. I regret to declare that the decay has reached massive proportions. The system has collapsed!"

The full text of İmamoğlu's statement is as follows:

"The belief in succeeding through hard work and honest means has been destroyed. In the great Republic of Turkey, there is no one left who can say with peace of mind, 'I will work, I will deserve it, and I will succeed.'

Justice and merit have been replaced by a mindset that cannot utter two words while everyone's identity information has been stolen.

This mentality, which found its suitable ground with the presidential government system, now poses a major vulnerability for the future of our STATE.

I regret to declare that the decay has reached massive proportions.

THE SYSTEM HAS COLLAPSED!

From security to intelligence, from land registry to population records, from universities to national education, the perception of a reliable state has collapsed.

The danger is immense. We must protect our country and our state.

THIS SYSTEM MUST CHANGE!
