Veterans decide to end their protests: They met with Oktay Saral

According to journalist and 12punto writer Müyesser Yıldız, veterans who have been protesting for a long time to secure their personal rights have decided to end their demonstrations following a phone call with Chief Advisor to the President Oktay Saral.

On the 47th day of the struggle for the personal rights of enlisted martyrs' families and enlisted veterans, the police spent the day trying to get them to end the protest. The veterans stated that they would continue their action unless they met with an official and received a promise.

Following this, the Deputy Chief of the Ankara Police Department arranged a video call between Platform Spokesperson Erdem Çerçioğlu and Chief Advisor to the President Oktay Saral at 8:30 PM.

After the meeting, the enlisted martyrs' families and enlisted veterans decided to end their protests.

During the meeting, Saral stated that AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan would personally look into the matter.

Oktay Saral announced that when the Grand National Assembly of Turkey opens in October, the necessary steps will be taken to resolve the legal regulations and precedent personal rights expected by counter-terrorism enlisted veterans and enlisted martyrs' families.

Çerçioğlu announced that a press statement will be made tomorrow at 12:00 PM at Kurtuluş Park.
