Vice President Yılmaz to attend Khamenei's funeral in Iran
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz will travel to Iran to attend the funeral of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and hold official meetings on behalf of Türkiye.

As part of his visit to Iran, Vice President Yılmaz will first meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
At the meeting, Yılmaz will convey his condolences for former Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei, who was killed in the US and Israel's attack on 28 February.
Bilateral relations between the two countries will also be discussed at the meeting.
Vice President Yılmaz will then attend the funeral ceremony to be held at Imam Khomeini Mosque in the capital Tehran, representing Türkiye and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
