Victim women testify at the second hearing of the sexual abuse trial: 'You will imagine me everywhere'

A witness who participated in the trial opened against the sheikh of a cult operating under the name Arifhane Science Association for sexual harassment submitted a transcript of an alleged conversation between her and the sheikh to the court.

Another witness who testified in favor of the defendant claimed that the statements the defendant made to the women were mystical in nature.

According to the testimonies, the defendant Uçar, who held phone conversations with women wishing to join the cult, told the women, "If you want to progress quickly, you need to fall in love with me. You will fall in love with me, I will be your mortician. You will imagine me everywhere, you will even imagine me in bed."

One of the women who participated in the case as a witness also submitted a transcript of a phone conversation she claimed took place between her and Uçar to the court. In the audio recordings allegedly belonging to Uçar, he said, "Understand me well. Then say, 'I have come as you wanted, stark naked...' Strip. Let me see you strip. Prove it to me. Say, 'Look, I have no clothes on.' Say, 'I have stripped.' When you reveal what is in your heart, I will understand that you have stripped." The defendant's lawyer rejected the audio recordings, claiming that they were entirely edited.
"THE STATEMENTS IN QUESTION ARE MYSTICAL"
Witness testimonies were heard at the last hearing. Witness Y.H.G., who testified in favor of the defendant, stated that she had witnessed all of the defendant's phone conversations and that the defendant's statements to the women, such as "we will be like lovers, we will be like husband and wife," were meant in a mystical sense.
