580 thousand dollars seized at the airport
At Sabiha Gökçen Airport, 580 thousand dollars in counterfeit money and 8 grams of narcotics were seized during a body search of two suspicious foreign passengers. Both suspects were arrested and sent to prison.

Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Smuggling Crimes Branch and Financial Crimes Branch seized 580,000 USD, suspected to be counterfeit, and 8 grams of narcotics during a body search of foreign nationals O.Z. and J.I., who were entering the country at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport on November 16 at approximately 14:00.
The suspects were referred to the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on 17.11.2023 for the crimes of "Counterfeiting Currency" and "Manufacturing and Trafficking of Narcotics and Stimulants," and both individuals were arrested by the court and sent to prison.
