8,280 TL fine for 'Kutu Kutu Pense' game played with vehicles

A total fine of 8,280 TL was issued to 3 drivers who were seen following each other in circles while playing the 'Kutu Kutu Pense' children's song in Kartal Zeytinlik.

Following an investigation by the Civil Traffic teams of the Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate into footage shared on social media, 3 drivers who were seen following each other in circles and endangering traffic on Zeytinlik Street in Kartal district on 19.02.2024 were identified and taken into custody.

The 3 drivers, identified as E.T, M.E.A, and H.K, who were driving their cars in circles while playing the 'Kutu kutu pense elmayı yerse arkadaşım etrafımda dönse' (a traditional children's game song) music, were each issued a total of 8,280 TL in administrative traffic fines. The fines were applied under Article 56/1-C (Tailgating) of the Highway Traffic Law (KTK) No. 2918 for 690 TL, Article 73/A (Driving in a manner that disturbs the peace and comfort of the public) for 690 TL, Article 47/1-D (Failure to comply with traffic safety and order rules specified in the regulation) for 690 TL, and Article 72 (Using music devices in a manner that disturbs the peace and comfort of the public) for 690 TL.

Meanwhile, the drivers E.T, M.E.A, and H.K were taken to the Kartal Martyr Selahattin Aslantepe Police Station for judicial proceedings under Article 179/2 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) (Endangering the safety of life and property by operating transport vehicles).
