A strange İmamoğlu debate between Ersan Şen and Cem Küçük: He gave the Puff Daddy example

While the investigation into Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held at the Marmara Prison in Silivri, and the long-delayed indictment were being discussed, Prof. Dr. Ersan Şen reacted sharply to Cem Küçük's example that 'Puff Daddy has been in custody for a year and his indictment has not been issued yet.'

The investigation into CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu was discussed on the debate program broadcast on TGRT Haber.

A heated argument took place between legal expert Prof. Dr. Ersan Şen and journalist Cem Küçük, who is close to the government, both of whom were guests on the program.

"THE INDICTMENT IS AWAITED TO SEE THE EVIDENCE"

Ersan Şen drew attention to the legal grounds for detention decisions and said the following:

“On one hand, you say ‘there is strong suspicion of a crime and evidence,’ and on the other hand, you say ‘wait for the indictment to see that evidence.’ This is a contradiction.”

Cem Küçük, who joined the discussion, cited the detention of American rapper Puff Daddy as a defense and said:

“Puff Daddy has been in custody for a year, and his indictment has not been issued yet.”

Ersan Şen reacted to this example:

“Do not give me nonsensical examples. You cannot compare a serious matter like the detention of a political leader in Turkey with the case of a music star in the US.”

While this debate on the program became a trending topic on social media, Ersan Şen's reaction received support from many users.
