Ahmet Türk and Cevdet Yılmaz were at a 'peace' dinner! What changed 1 week after this photo?

The Ministry of Interior has appointed trustees to the Mardin, Batman, and Halfeti municipalities, which were under DEM Party administration.

Mayors Ahmet Türk, Gülistan Sönük, and Mehmet Karayılan have been removed from office.

Mardin Governor Tuncay Akkoyun was appointed as trustee in place of Ahmet Türk, Batman Governor Ekrem Canalp in place of Gülistan Sönük, and Halfeti District Governor Hakan Başoğlu in place of Mehmet Karayılan.

The appointment of trustees to these 3 municipalities, following the one in Esenyurt Municipality, has become a central topic on the political agenda.

Journalist Altan Sancar made an important reminder regarding the trustees appointed to the DEM Party municipalities.

Stating that Ahmet Türk attended a peace dinner between the Yıldız and Şenyaşar families in Şanlıurfa on October 27, Sancar noted that Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz was sitting next to Türk.

Sancar spoke as follows:

"On October 27, Ahmet Türk was in Şanlıurfa. Between AKP member İbrahim Halil Yıldız and Ferit Şenyaşar sat Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, and right next to him was Ahmet Türk. He was at a dinner marking the peace established between the Yıldız and Şenyaşar families.

Hadn't Ahmet Türk been sentenced in the Kobani Case last week? Weren't these investigations against Ahmet Türk present last week? Of course they were. I say this in quotation marks: ‘Ahmet Türk was not a terrorist last week, but he is a terrorist this week’.

Last week, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz was together with AKP member Bekir Bozdağ and AKP member Abdulhamit Gül. Beside them were DEM Party members Saliha Aydeniz and Sırrı Süreyya Önder. Cevdet Yılmaz was sitting right in the middle of them.

This is where we have arrived in 1 week. From sitting next to the Vice President, we have reached the point where Ahmet Türk is removed from office on the grounds of being linked to terrorism..."
