Ali Yerlikaya shares: Final footage of the Kafkametler ship that sank in Zonguldak has emerged
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya has shared the final footage of the Turkish-flagged ship Kafkametler, which lost contact during a storm in the Black Sea.

The Kafkametler ship, which was en route to Izmir, sank at the Ereğli Port where it had taken shelter. The lifeless body of 1 of the 12 personnel on board has been recovered, while 11 others have not yet been reached.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya shared the final footage of the ship and emphasized that search and rescue efforts are ongoing.

Yerlikaya included the following statements in his post:
"The KAFKAMETLER ship, which set sail from the Port of Temryuk in Russia to bring its cargo to Aliağa with 12 personnel on board, anchored off the coast of the Karadeniz Ereğli port due to poor weather conditions, but drifted toward the military breakwater, struck the breakwater, and sank.
Of the 12 Turkish crew members on board,
the lifeless body of 1 of our sailors has unfortunately been recovered.
I pray for God's mercy upon our citizen who lost their life and extend my condolences to their relatives.
Search and rescue efforts for our 11 crew members are continuing with;
2 Patrol Aircraft
1 Helicopter
2 Patrol Boats
4 SAR Teams
295 Vehicles
795 Personnel."
