Arson suspected in death of 81-year-old animal lover 'Auntie Necla' in Ankara! 'They burned the woman alive'

It is alleged that Güleryüz, an animal lover known as 'Auntie Necla,' was targeted after footage emerged of her pleading with municipal workers who were taking her dog to a shelter. Teams from the AKP-run Altındağ Municipality in Ankara took a dog, claimed to be owned by 81-year-old Ülker Güleryüz—known as 'Auntie Necla'—to take it to a shelter.
The elderly woman pleaded with the teams, saying, 'Don't take it, leave my dog alone.'
DIED BY BURNING IN HER HOME
Tragic news arrived regarding Auntie Necla, who had retrieved her dog with the help of animal rights activists. It was learned that the elderly woman's house caught fire in the evening, and she died inside. While the possibility of arson is being investigated, law enforcement officials conducted an examination at the scene. The elderly woman's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death.
POSSIBILITY OF ARSON BEING INVESTIGATED
According to a report by Gerçek Gündem, Haydar Özkan, Vice President of the Animal Life Rights Confederation (HAYKONFED), claimed that the elderly woman had been targeted on social media following the footage of her resisting the teams.
Speaking on the possibility of arson, Özkan stated, "I cannot clearly say it is arson; this will be revealed as a result of the investigation. However, the auntie was being targeted until the evening, and following that, her house burned down. And here you go, Auntie Necla has now died by burning."
Özkan called on the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Justice to shed light on the incident and find those responsible.
