In Bursa, a man who had fallen into a depression after separating from his wife got into an argument with his family when he went to their home. During the argument, which escalated into a fight, the man lost his temper and shot his mother and father, and then his brother, with a shotgun in front of his 7-year-old son. The incident occurred in the Hamitler neighborhood of the central Osmangazi district. According to allegations, A.Y. (30), who had fallen into a depression after separating from his wife, went to the house where his family lived on 2nd Ceviz Street. A.Y., who had an argument with his father Seyithan Y. at the house, suddenly got into a fight.
The suspect, who got into a fight with the household, used a shotgun found in the house to shoot his father Seyithan Y. first, then his mother Zozan Y. (55), and subsequently his 25-year-old brother M.Y., who tried to stop him, all in front of his 7-year-old son.
Upon notification by neighbors, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the suspect, who was caught by police teams with the weapon used in the crime while attempting to flee the scene, was taken to the police station, medical teams determined that those who were shot had lost their lives at the scene.
The 7-year-old child, who went into shock following the incident, was taken into protective custody by the police. After the prosecutor's investigation, the bodies of the 3 individuals were removed to the Forensic Medicine Morgue, while the family's relatives and loved ones suffered nervous breakdowns.
