Azerbaijani President Aliyev visits Anıtkabir

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who arrived in Turkey for an official visit, visited Anıtkabir with his accompanying delegation.

Aliyev, who laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and observed a moment of silence, had a commemorative photo taken after the visit and signed the Anıtkabir Special Book.

Aliyev wrote the following in the book:

"HE WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN THE HEARTS OF THE AZERBAIJANI PEOPLE"

"I commemorate the dear memory of the great son of the Turkic world, the talented commander and genius leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with the deepest respect and reverence. By founding his most magnificent work, the Republic of Turkey, one hundred years ago, the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk etched his name into the pages of world history and the hearts of his people in golden letters forever. As the president of brotherly Azerbaijan, I take special pride in seeing the current level of development, prosperity, power, and influence in the global arena of the state founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Protecting the unshakable Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherhood, unity, and solidarity, which is the greatest wealth of our peoples, and gifting it to future generations, as well as developing and strengthening our strategic alliance in every aspect, is the highest duty before our two countries. The dear memory of the great personality Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who considered Azerbaijan's joy his own joy and its sorrow his own sorrow, will always live in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people. May his soul rest in peace!"
