STATEMENT HAD BEEN ISSUED BY MCDONALD'S

McDonald's Turkey had previously issued a written statement after media reports emerged that McDonald's Israel, which operates in Israel, had distributed hamburgers to soldiers.

The statement noted that McDonald's in Turkey is a local business, with its entire ownership and operations overseen by the Qatari company Boheme Investment, and stated, "There is no connection between the operations of McDonald's Israel and McDonald's Turkey. McDonald's in Israel operates as an entity separate from our business. Therefore, it makes its own business and communication decisions independently of McDonald's Turkey."
