The airstrike carried out by Israel targeted Mashhad Airport, located in the city of Mashhad in northeastern Iran, which serves as the country's third busiest airport.

While black smoke was seen rising from the airport, it was reported that the targeted area represents the longest-range attack by Israel to date.

It was stated that this attack has brought civilian air traffic in the region to a temporary standstill.

REFUELING AIRCRAFT HIT

It was reported that a refueling aircraft located at the airport was directly targeted during the attack. While Iranian sources have not yet made an official statement regarding casualties in the attack, it was stated that the aircraft sustained heavy damage and a fire broke out in the vicinity.
