An investigation was launched against Fatih Altaylı for "praising crime and criminals" and "publicly inciting and insulting a segment of the public to hatred and hostility" after he posted "Well done" on his social media account following the punching of İsmail Aydemir over a tawhid flag during the 'Mercy to the martyrs, support for Palestine, curse on Israel' march organized by foundations and associations close to the government.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which launched an ex officio investigation, summoned Altaylı to give a statement.
