The worker, who was fitted with a neck brace, was transported to the hospital.
The statement issued by the Istanbul Governor's Office included the following:
"At 14:47, a collapse occurred during the demolition of a building on Neşe Street in the Caferağa neighborhood of Kadıköy, and an excavator operator was trapped under the debris up to his waist. The operator was rescued through the intervention of the teams and transported to the hospital. The injured personnel is not in life-threatening condition."
