Car flips and splits in two: 3 people injured

In the Sarayköy district of Denizli, a car lost control and crashed into a lighting pole, splitting in two. The 3 injured people inside the vehicle, which turned into a pile of scrap metal, were thrown onto the road.

The accident occurred near the Beylerbeyi neighborhood in the Sarayköy district. According to the information obtained, a Tofaş-brand car traveling on the Denizli-Izmir highway suddenly went out of the driver's control.

The skidding car crashed into a lighting pole on the median and split in two. The driver and 2 passengers in the vehicle, which was scattered across the highway in two pieces, were thrown onto the median and the road.

Upon reports from other drivers who witnessed the accident to the 112 Emergency Call Center, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The three injured people who were thrown from the split car were taken to hospitals by ambulances after receiving initial intervention at the scene. It was learned that the injured, who are under treatment, are not in life-threatening condition. Long queues formed on the highway due to the accident, for which an investigation has been launched.
