Car hits intoxicated man lying in the middle of the road in Bayrampaşa

The incident occurred around 03:00 on October 10 in the Yenidoğan neighborhood of Bayrampaşa. According to reports, an individual lay down in the middle of the road after consuming alcohol. At that moment, a driver traveling on the road noticed the person at the last second and slowed down, but another car coming from behind struck the intoxicated individual and drove over them. After the collision, the driver got out of their vehicle and saw the person lying on the ground. The driver then notified the police and medical teams.

LEARNED TO BE OUT OF LIFE-THREATENING DANGER

Upon notification, medical teams arrived at the scene and transported the injured person to the hospital by ambulance. It was learned that the person, who was taken under treatment at the hospital, had fractures in their body but was not in life-threatening condition.

MOMENT OF THE INCIDENT REFLECTED ON SECURITY CAMERA

In the footage of the incident captured by a business's security camera, it was seen that the intoxicated person could not stand and subsequently lay down on the ground. The footage shows another vehicle driver noticing the intoxicated person and slowing down, while a different driver, who did not notice the man lying on the ground, struck the individual and drove over them. The images also recorded the driver getting out of the vehicle and notifying the police and medical teams.

It was learned that the driver of the car involved in the collision was released after the incident.
