Car hits two women walking to a bus stop in Bursa

Two women named Ayşe Bayram and Hanife Turgut were injured in a traffic accident that occurred on İzmir Yolu Street in the Üçevler neighborhood of Bursa while they were walking to a bus stop.

According to the information obtained, at approximately 18:50, the driver of a white Tesla with license plate 16 TL 656, Mehmet Önal, lost control of the steering wheel after a white Peugeot with an unidentified license plate cut in front of him while traveling on the same route. During this time, he struck pedestrians Ayşe Bayram and Hanife Turgut.

Following the accident, 112 Emergency health teams dispatched to the scene transported Ayşe Bayram to Bursa City Hospital and Hanife Turgut to Bursa Uludağ University Hospital. It was learned that as a result of the initial interventions, Hanife Turgut suffered a brain hemorrhage and is in critical condition. Ayşe Bayram was discharged after receiving treatment.

In the alcohol test conducted at the scene of the accident, it was determined that the driver Mehmet Önal was not under the influence of alcohol. In the report prepared by traffic teams regarding the accident, it was stated that the primary fault lay with the Peugeot vehicle with the unidentified license plate. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
