Journalist Cem Küçük continues to make controversial claims regarding CHP Party Assembly Member Berkay Gezgin. Having previously alleged that a total of 1 million TL was paid to Gezgin by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) in installments, Küçük this time argued that payments were made to Gezgin in cash.

Appearing on a live broadcast on TGRT Haber, Cem Küçük referred to a MASAK report that had reached the public eye. Küçük stated that in the report in question, the official payment made to Berkay Gezgin appeared as only 42,500 TL. Emphasizing that this amount was recorded and based on documentation, Küçük claimed that the remaining portion of approximately 950,000 TL was given "in cash."

In his statement, Küçük said, "When you look at the MASAK report, only 42,500 TL appears. So where is the rest of the money? We assess that these payments were made in cash. This is a serious situation."

RESPONSE FROM BERKAY WAS NOT DELAYED

Following Cem Küçük's claims, a response from Berkay Gezgin was not delayed. In a post on his social media account, Gezgin said, "He made me rich with 1 million a month, then dropped it to 42,500. Now he says it might have been given in cash."

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Having previously denied the claims in question, Berkay Gezgin stated that the accusations against him were baseless and that he would pursue legal action. Gezgin had announced that he was preparing to file a criminal complaint against Cem Küçük.

While the debate continues to resonate with the public, the content of the MASAK report and the veracity of the claims in question remain a subject of curiosity.
