Citizens flocked to Dolmabahçe on November 10

The founder of the Republic of Turkey, the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was commemorated with a ceremony in his room at Dolmabahçe Palace, where he passed away 85 years ago. Following the ceremony, the room was opened to the public.

Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was commemorated on the 85th anniversary of his passing with events and moments of silence held across many parts of Turkey. When the clocks struck exactly 09:05, life across the country effectively came to a standstill. 

Citizens arrived at Dolmabahçe Palace, where Atatürk closed his eyes to the world, for the commemoration ceremony, carrying Turkish flags.

When the clocks showed 09:05 at Dolmabahçe, a ceremony was held in the room where Atatürk stayed at Dolmabahçe Palace.
