CNN TÜRK anchor caught in earthquake during live broadcast
The 6.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Istanbul at 12:49 was felt across a wide area in the Marmara Region. While the epicenter of the earthquake was announced as the Sea of Marmara, the violent shaking caused panic throughout Istanbul. CNN TÜRK anchor Meltem Bozbeyoğlu was caught in the moment of the earthquake during a live broadcast.

Immediately following the major earthquake, another aftershock with a magnitude of 4.4 occurred off the coast of Büyükçekmece in the Sea of Marmara at 12:51. This tremor further increased the fear following the major earthquake.
CNN TÜRK ANCHOR CAUGHT ON LIVE BROADCAST
CNN TÜRK anchor Meltem Bozbeyoğlu was caught in the moment of the earthquake during a live broadcast. The moments of panic experienced by the anchor and other staff in the studio were reflected on screen. Immediately after the earthquake, Bozbeyoğlu continued the broadcast to report on the developments.
PANIC ACROSS ISTANBUL
Following the earthquakes, citizens left their homes and workplaces and headed to open areas. While there were short-term disruptions in public transportation, evacuations were carried out in some schools and hospitals. Access issues occurred on telephone lines due to high traffic.
