The Istanbul 48th Criminal Court of First Instance has issued a 'forcible appearance' order for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, despite objections from his lawyers. It is stated that the decision was made within the scope of a defamation lawsuit filed by Mustafa Doğan İnal, a former lawyer for Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During today's hearing, İnal's lawyer stated that their complaint against Kılıçdaroğlu remains ongoing and requested that the court order Kılıçdaroğlu to be brought in by force. The court found this request appropriate and announced the decision for the defendant to be brought in by force.
On the other hand, Lawyer Uğur Çelik, who attended the hearing with authorization from Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer Celal Çelik, stated, "Our client's residence is in Ankara; we request that instructions be sent there." However, the court did not accept this request and decided that Kılıçdaroğlu must be brought to the hearing by force.

Özel expressed his reaction in a post on his social media account with the following words:
The 'forcible appearance' order issued today regarding our former Chairman Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is not only unlawful but also an attempt at intimidation by a politicized judiciary.
Our party stands tall, united and whole, against these efforts.
