A driver who endangered traffic safety by drifting in Başakşehir, causing heart-stopping moments, was issued an administrative fine of 63,720 TL following an investigation launched by police teams. The driver, who was learned to be under 18 years of age, was identified and apprehended thanks to footage shared on social media.

In the Bahçeşehir neighborhood of Istanbul's Başakşehir district, a vehicle driver endangered traffic safety by drifting. The driver, who put both their own life and the lives of other drivers at risk, caused heart-stopping moments. It was learned that the driver was under 18 years of age.
FINED UNDER MULTIPLE VIOLATIONS
Following footage shared on certain social media platforms on 24.11.2024, police teams launched an investigation.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Y.E.B., was apprehended.
A total administrative fine of 63,720 TL was imposed on the driver and the vehicle owner for violations including using non-standard (APP) license plates, tinted windows, driving without a license, tailgating, drifting, and reckless driving.
Judicial proceedings have been initiated against the driver.
