The downpour, which showed its effect during the night, turned into a flash flood in a short time. Streets turned into lakes in many places, including the city center, with the Tirilye neighborhood of Mudanya district being the most affected.
CREEKS OVERFLOWED, ROADS TURNED INTO LAKES
Creeks in the Tirilye neighborhood overflowed into the streets. Upon notification, numerous fire, search and rescue, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. While backhoes and excavators arriving in the area continued their work, Mudanya Mayor Hayri Türkyılmaz conducted inspections in the region where the flood occurred.
