Family murder in Diyarbakır: He killed his brother-in-law
In the Sur district of Diyarbakır, Heycan Ç. shot and killed his brother-in-law following an argument. The brother-in-law was in the process of divorcing Heycan Ç.'s sister. Three people were also injured in the fight that broke out between the two families.

In an incident that occurred on İnönü Street in the Sur district of Diyarbakır, a fight broke out when two families, who were in the process of a divorce, encountered each other on the street.
During the fight, which initially involved slippers and punches, 20-year-old Heycan Ç. pulled a handgun from his waistband and shot his brother-in-law, Cihan Demir. Demir, who was shot in the jaw, lost his life. In the ensuing fight, Nurcan K., Asmin K., and Helin D. were injured due to battery.
SECURITY CAMERAS RECORDED THE INCIDENT
The fight between the two families was captured on security cameras. Further loss of life was prevented by police officers from the 'Yunus' motorcycle units and the Counter-Terrorism (TEM) branch who were passing by the scene. The suspect, Heycan Ç., was taken into custody along with the unlicensed handgun he used. It was learned that an unlicensed handgun was also found on the deceased, Demir.
The suspect, Heycan Ç., was taken to the Murder Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate for questioning.
