WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
On the night of July 29, around 00:15, suspects whose identities had not yet been determined arrived by vehicle at the liquor store on Mehmet Akif Ersoy Street in Esenyurt, where Batuhan Bayındır, Yunus Emre Erzen, and Yusuf Erzen were present.
The attackers, who began threatening the three people in the liquor store, first started to torture them and then opened fire with the weapons they had brought with them, shooting Batuhan Bayındır, Yunus Emre Erzen, and Yusuf Erzen before fleeing.
Upon notification, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that Batuhan Bayındır and Yunus Emre Erzen had died, while Yusuf Erzen was injured. The seriously injured Erzen was transported to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention at the scene.
Following their investigations at the scene, police teams launched an inquiry to capture the fleeing attackers. It was learned that a similar armed attack had taken place at the same liquor store two months prior, but there were no deaths or injuries.
ÖZGÜR AYBAŞ SHARED THE FOOTAGE
According to the footage shared by Özgür Aybaş, President of the Turkey Liquor Store Platform, four people enter the workplace while three people are inside. An argument breaks out between the attacker in the green t-shirt and the store employee. One of the attackers is heard saying, "Call your father, let's talk." The employee responds, "Why did you come like this now, tell me." One of the attackers says, "Don't you know?"
After the attacker in the green t-shirt squeezes the employee's shoulder, a scuffle begins. The attacker in the green t-shirt corners the employee at the register, threatens him, and beats him. Other attackers intervene, torturing the employee by breaking bottles over his head.
During the scuffle, the employee takes a gun from the register and shoots the attacker in the green t-shirt in the legs. At that moment, the attackers attack the employee again by breaking bottles.
The attacker in the white shirt, who came from behind, draws the weapon he was carrying and fires repeatedly at the employee first, then fires at the other two people in the workplace. The attackers flee the store with their weapons in hand.
