Last weekend, a group gathered in front of the venue in Maslak, Istanbul, to protest singer Linet Menaşi before her scheduled concert. In a video she shared from backstage, Linet addressed AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stating that her safety was at risk. The famous artist left the venue through the back exit for security reasons, without being seen by the protesters waiting at the front entrance.

Fatih Altaylı reacted to the protest Linet faced on his YouTube channel.

Referring to those who protested Linet as a 'pack of dogs,' Altaylı said, "It is beyond comprehension, brother. Because of a pack of dogs gathered in front of the door... They protested her... Linet is a brilliant Turkish citizen who has lived on these lands for 500 years. Yes, she may belong to another religion. That is none of our business. And... What do you want from Linet? Are you crazy? Linet is more Turkish than everyone who stormed that place. She is more patriotic than everyone who stormed that place. It is shameful, there is a limit to such savagery... They feel no shame whatsoever, and they are not punished in any way," he said.
