Fatih Altaylı reacts to concert controversy: Lists expenditures from the AKP era

Following the investigations launched in Istanbul and Ankara, the fees paid for concerts held on October 29 Republic Day have become a subject of debate. Journalist Fatih Altaylı disclosed the money spent on concerts during the AKP era.

Fatih Altaylı revealed how much money the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality spent on concerts during the AKP era.

In a broadcast on his own YouTube channel, journalist Fatih Altaylı addressed how much the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality spent on concert fees for celebrities during the AKP era. According to this, he stated that the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality spent 130 million 637 thousand dollars on concerts in 2017 during the AKP era, and noted that they made some savings in 2018, spending 126 million 970 thousand dollars. Stating that a total of 9 billion TL was spent on concert fees during the AKP's tenure at the IMM, Altaylı argued that the 3 million dollars currently spent by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) for concert fees is being treated as unnecessary, and reported that the AKP's concert expenditures cannot be compared to those of the ABB.

Fatih Altaylı's remarks are as follows:
