In addition to a firefighting helicopter, 2 firefighting planes were sent to the region.

PILOTS RESCUED

The firefighting plane, which was taking water from the Seyhan Dam Lake, crashed for an as-yet-unknown reason. The pilot of the plane that crashed into the lake sent a message to the firefighting helicopter pilot saying, "My plane has crashed into the lake, I am fine, come get me."

Following the message, the other firefighting plane near the region landed to assist. Boats on the lake and police divers from the Provincial Security Directorate's Underwater Group Command also went to the area to help. The police divers reached and rescued the 2 pilots, one of whom was a foreigner, in the lake. The 2 pilots, who were taken by boat, were transferred to the hospital as a precaution.
