Footage filmed in Gaziantep causes an uproar: Man brandishes weapon, hurls insults and threats

In footage recorded in Gaziantep, an individual is seen holding a weapon and shouting threats. While it is alleged that the individual has a lengthy criminal record, the images have become a trending topic on social media.

Footage recorded in a side street in the city center of Gaziantep has caused an uproar.

While a group of 7 people were waiting on the street, 2 of them were seen to be armed.

The individual, who tucked a Russian Kalashnikov infantry rifle he was holding under his shirt and is alleged to be named Bedir Aydın, hurled threats and insults at the person filming him.

While the footage drew a major reaction on social media, users called on the Ministry of Interior, the Gaziantep Governorship, and security forces to take action.

Emrah Aydınalp, who shared the video on his social media account, stated that the individuals are walking around the streets comfortably despite having extensive criminal records.

ALLEGATION OF 57 CRIMINAL RECORDS

Aydınalp used the following expressions in his post:

"Individuals terrorizing the middle of the street in Gaziantep are posing with long-barreled weapons in their hands and threatening people. Despite the individuals in the video having extensive files, they are walking around the streets like this. The individuals in the video, Bedir Aydın has 57 criminal files (Death threats-Extortion of property-drug trafficking-arms trafficking). Does someone have to die for action to be taken?"


Tagging the General Directorate of Security, the Gaziantep Governorship, and the Provincial Police Department, Aydınalp called on Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya and the authorities to take action.
