Footage of the assault on an İZBAN security guard has emerged! The perpetrator was released under the execution law

A tragic incident that occurred yesterday evening at the Cumaovası İZBAN Station in İzmir has caused great sorrow. According to the information received, an individual named M.D., who was smoking inside the train and preventing the service from proceeding by holding the train doors open, was warned by security personnel at the Adnan Menderes Airport Station. However, the passenger, who ignored the warnings, was removed from the train at Cumaovası Station. Tensions escalated between M.D., who continued his aggressive behavior there, and the security guards, leading to a scuffle shortly after.

During the fight, the guard, Seydihan Alsaç (44), collapsed after receiving blows to his head and chest. Alsaç, who was rushed to the hospital with the rapid intervention of medical teams, was taken into intensive care.

RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL BUT COULD NOT BE SAVED

The security guard, who was taken under treatment, underwent an angiogram. Doctors stated that a tear had occurred in a heart vessel due to the blow he received to his chest area. However, despite all medical interventions, Alsaç lost his life.

The horrific moments were recorded second by second by the security cameras at the station. In the footage, it is clearly seen that M.D. constantly obstructed the train doors, preventing them from closing, then argued with the security guards, and that Seydihan Alsaç fell to the ground during the ensuing scuffle.

It has emerged that M.D. had been involved in similar incidents before. It was learned that the individual had smoked on another İZBAN service last year, attacked citizens who warned him, and that a lawsuit had been filed against him for this. Furthermore, it was discovered that he had been imprisoned for assaulting passengers on another trip earlier this year and was released during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

“HE HAD FOUR CHILDREN, WHO WILL LOOK AFTER THEM?”

Sezer Çolak, a relative of the deceased security guard, described the events with the following words: “He sees a citizen smoking on the İZBAN and warns him. We don't know if the person opposite him was drunk or on drugs, but an argument breaks out. Then they get into a fight. The other party punches my brother-in-law in the chest. When he falls to the ground, he strikes his chest again with his elbow. After that moment, he becomes ill. He is referred to the emergency room on the same day. There, it is determined that there is a tear in one of his heart vessels. Then his heart stops and he passes away. He had four children and a wife. Now who will look after this family? What will happen to them? We have filed a complaint against that person. He was taken into custody by law enforcement. As far as we have heard, he also has a criminal record for drugs and similar issues; we want what is necessary to be done.”

REACTION FROM COLLEAGUES

Alsaç's colleagues, with whom he worked, also expressed that they do not have job security and emphasized that authorities must take urgent measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

THE PERPETRATOR HAS BEEN ARRESTED

M.D., who was taken into custody following the incident, was arrested by the court to which he was referred after his procedures at the police station and sent to prison.
