The declaration of a ceasefire by the terrorist organization PKK, following a call from terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı, has caused widespread repercussions in Turkey. While some approach the process with hopes for peace, others have shown harsh reactions. One of these reactions came from Martyrs' Mothers Association President Pakize Akbaba.
'WHAT PEACE? WE DO NOT FORGIVE'
Participating in a broadcast on Meltem TV, Akbaba made harsh statements regarding the issue. Addressing the AKP and its members of parliament, Akbaba said, "What peace? I am here until the end, let them all hear. Turkey has been betrayed, we do not forgive."
Drawing attention to the pain experienced by the families of martyrs and veterans, Akbaba expressed her reaction by saying, "Who asked for our permission? It is not anyone's place, they cannot forgive."
