He asked for his money and lost his life! Killed for 6,500 TL
It has been revealed that İsmail Karabıyık, who was found shot in the head and killed in Beşiktaş the other morning, was a victim of murder. The killer, Mehmet S., was taken into custody by teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Murder Bureau. During his interrogation, Mehmet S. stated that he owed Karabıyık 6,500 TL and killed him because Karabıyık kept asking for it; he was subsequently arrested and sent to prison.

In the Türkali neighborhood of Beşiktaş, 43-year-old İsmail Karabıyık was found shot in the head in his own coffeehouse on the morning of the day before yesterday. Upon being notified by customers who arrived at the coffeehouse, teams from the Beşiktaş District Police Department arrived at the scene and, in their initial investigation, determined that Karabıyık, who had been shot once in the head, may have been a victim of murder.
Following this, teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Murder Bureau were called to the scene. While Karabıyık's body was taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine, police began examining the people Karabıyık had last met with and security camera footage from the surrounding area.
CAUGHT WITH THE MURDER WEAPON
The investigation determined that the suspect was Mehmet S., who has 7 prior criminal records. Teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Murder Bureau apprehended Mehmet S. in Ataşehir with the handgun, which had been converted from a blank-firing pistol, that he had used in the incident.
KILLED FOR 6,500 TL
It was learned that Mehmet S., who was taken to the Murder Bureau, said, "I owed İsmail Karabıyık 6,500 TL. He was constantly asking me for it. I kept telling him I would pay when I had the money. But he wouldn't listen. He was arguing with me. I made a plan to kill him, and after he opened his workplace in the morning and went inside, I followed him in and shot him in the head, killing him. Then I fled."
The suspect, Karabıyık, was arrested by the court to which he was referred following his interrogation and sent to prison.
