CHP Chairman Özgür Özel did not leave the family of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, who recently lost his life after being electrocuted, alone. Özel extended the support he provided to the family during their painful days to Nehir Zeyrek, Zeyrek’s daughter, who was set to take the university entrance exam.
"I PROMISED, I AM COMING TO KEEP IT"
Not leaving Nehir alone on the morning of the exam, Özel personally took the young girl to the school where the exam was to be held. He had expressed this meaningful gesture in a previous statement as follows:
“We are now heading to Manisa. As you know, Ferdi’s daughter Nehir has a university entrance exam. From the very first moment, she kept asking, ‘Who will take me to the exam now?’ I had given my word. I said, ‘Don’t worry, I will come to the exam with you in your father’s place.’ We will take our Nehir to the university entrance exam.”
