Dr. Kübra Tonguç Altın and her daughter Alya Altın, who lost their lives in a hotel fire in Bolu Kartalkaya, were laid to rest following a funeral prayer held in their hometown of Soma, Manisa. The father, Hilmi Altın, who survived the incident with injuries, was seen struggling to stand.

A funeral ceremony was held in their hometown of Soma, Manisa, for the daughter and granddaughter of the Tonguç family from Soma, who lost their lives in the hotel fire in Bolu. The bodies of Dr. Kübra Tonguç Altın, who lost her life in the fire, and her daughter, a 4th-grade student Alya Altın, were first brought to their father's house to seek final blessings.
UNABLE TO HOLD BACK TEARS
Kübra Tonguç Altın's mother Fatma Tonguç, father Ergin Tonguç, sister Büşra Boztepe, and father-in-law Ahmet Altın, the former Denizli Provincial Director of Social Services, struggled to stand and were comforted by their relatives. Ahmet Altın, who asked for blessings and led prayers for his daughter-in-law and granddaughter, was unable to hold back his tears during his speech.

After the final blessings were sought, the bodies of Kübra Tonguç Altın and her daughter Alya Altın were brought to the Soma Grand Mosque. At the funeral ceremony, where hundreds of citizens filled the mosque courtyard, Hilmi Altın, who did not leave the side of his wife and daughter, was seen struggling to stand while accepting condolences.
Mother Kübra Tonguç Altın and her daughter Alya Altın were buried in the Soma District Municipal Cemetery following the funeral prayer held after the noon prayer.
The funeral ceremony was attended by Manisa Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, Manisa Celal Bayar University Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Soma District Governor Fatih Akkaya, Soma Mayor Sercan Okur, political party representatives, family members, and numerous citizens.
