He killed his mother by slitting her throat
The incident occurred in the evening on Yaka Street in the Umurça neighborhood. According to the information obtained, Figen Bezmez (47) arrived at the house where her 16-year-old child, identified as D.D., lived on Yaka Street with a friend; while she entered the house, her friend remained outside.

The child locked the door and, following an argument that broke out for reasons yet unknown, slit his mother's throat with a knife and stabbed her in various parts of her body.
Wounded in the throat, mother Bezmez managed to get outside before collapsing to the ground.

Citizens who witnessed the incident reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the area.
Arriving at the scene in a short time, health teams determined during their checks that Figen Bezmez, a mother of two, had lost her life.
D.D. was apprehended by police teams and taken into custody. It was learned that Bezmez's 12-year-old child was also in the house during the incident, and the young child was overcome with tears.
It was learned that Bezmez had been staying at a hotel with her younger son due to problems she was having with her son D.D.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
