Civil traffic teams from the Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate launched an investigation following footage of a vehicle drifting on the Tuzla Akfırat Formula road shared on social media. E.C.Y., who was taken into custody, was fined a total of 35,119 TL. His driver's license was suspended for 60 days, and his vehicle was banned from traffic for 2 months. Meanwhile, driver C.M., whose footage emerged from before the New Year, was fined 26,665 TL for drifting.

Civil traffic teams from the Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate, in their efforts regarding footage shared on social media, took into custody the driver E.C.Y., who was seen drifting with his vehicle on the Tuzla Akfırat Formula road on 07.01.2024 and shared these images on social media.
60-DAY SUSPENSION FOR LICENSE NOT IN HIS POSSESSION
Driver E.C.Y. was fined a total of 35,119 TL, consisting of 32,233 TL for drifting, 690 TL for using a vehicle with lighting equipment not in compliance with technical requirements, 1,506 TL for not having his driver's license with him, and 60 TL for reckless driving.
On the other hand, E.C.Y.'s driver's license, which he did not have with him, was temporarily suspended for 60 days. The vehicle he used to drift was also banned from traffic for 2 months. E.C.Y., who was taken into custody, was taken to the Tuzla Orhanlı Police Station for legal proceedings.
26,665 TL FINE BEFORE THE PRICE HIKE
Civil traffic teams from the Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate also fined driver C.M., who was drifting on Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard in Tuzla on December 25, 2023, a total of 26,665 TL. His vehicle was banned from traffic for 2 months, and his driver's license was temporarily confiscated for 2 months. C.M. was also handed over to the police station for legal proceedings.
