Following the warning from the General Directorate of Meteorology, heavy rainfall has also taken effect in İzmir.
RAINFALL TURNS STREETS INTO LAKES
The rain caused difficult moments for citizens and drivers, while also negatively affecting daily life. Due to the precipitation, streets and avenues turned into lakes. Drivers in traffic on Anadolu Avenue in the Konak district, where there was heavy water accumulation, struggled to move forward. In the Buca district, streets and avenues also turned into lakes due to the heavy rainfall. One vehicle broke down after becoming stuck in a pool of water.
While the heavy rain continued, father Ali Yayar (45) and his daughter Zeynep Şeyma Yayar (14) enjoyed the view of the bay with tea in their hands on the Bayraklı coast. It was reported that the rainfall will continue intermittently throughout the day.
