In his statement, Volkan Bahçekapılı said, “First, on March 17, Emre Belözoğlu gave me 1,492,000 USD in cash. I personally delivered this money to Seçil Erzan in her office at the Denizbank Levent Branch. When I gave the money, Seçil Erzan’s door was already open, and everyone working on that floor was in a position to hear what we were talking about. On the same day, 1,400,000 USD was sent again by Emre Belözoğlu in person. This time, Seçil Erzan came and personally picked up this money from my office in Levent. In total, I delivered 2,892,000 USD (money belonging to Emre Belözoğlu) to Seçil Erzan. As far as I heard from Emre Belözoğlu, on March 18, 400,000 USD was delivered in person by Emre Belözoğlu’s driver, Alpaslan Akyüz, right in front of the Denizbank Headquarters building.”
