HÜDA PAR leader Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu targets arrested Ümit Özdağ

Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, leader of HÜDA PAR—a partner in the People's Alliance known for its proximity to Hezbollah—commented on the arrest of Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, saying, A water pitcher is broken on the way to the water.

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ was detained in Ankara on allegations of insulting AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his party's provincial chairmen meeting in Antalya.

Özdağ, who was detained for insulting the President, was arrested for "publicly inciting the people to hatred and enmity" and sent to Silivri Prison.

HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, known for his party's proximity to Hezbollah, spoke about Ümit Özdağ's arrest at his party's meeting.

In response to the question, "How do you view the arrest of Ümit Özdağ?", Yapıcıoğlu replied, "A water pitcher is broken on the way to the water." Following these words, applause rose from the hall.

Regarding Özdağ, Yapıcıoğlu stated, "May God protect this nation from the evil of Ümit Özdağ." Following these remarks, loud applause and chants of "takbir" rose from the hall where he was speaking.
