As preparations for the month of Ramadan continue at the Kocatepe Mosque in Ankara's Çankaya district, a hungry fox descended into the city center. The fox, having lost its way, first entered the mosque and then took shelter in the women's restroom, refusing to come out.
Mosque staff who noticed the situation notified the authorities. Teams from the 9th Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, arrived at the scene, captured the fox, and took it under protection. It was learned that the fox would be released back into its natural habitat following health checks.
