İmamoğlu protest at universities: Students hang from windows after doors are locked
As protests in support of Ekrem İmamoğlu continue at Istanbul Technical University, security personnel locked the building doors to prevent students from leaving. Students continued their protest by hanging from the windows. The demonstrations also spread to other universities.

University students supporting Ekrem İmamoğlu are continuing their protests at the Maçka campus of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ).
Students were trapped inside after security personnel locked the building's doors. Students who wanted to exit attempted to climb down from the building's windows.
STUDENTS PROTEST BY HANGING FROM WINDOWS
İTÜ security locked the building's doors to prevent the protests, blocking students from leaving. However, the students found another way to continue their protest. Students who attempted to climb down by hanging from the windows shared these moments on social media.
Following the university students' decision to boycott classes, student protests continued at other universities as well. Here are scenes from other universities:
METU
After the protests began, METU students, who called on all students to boycott, are marching to the rectorate building.
İTÜ
Istanbul Technical University students have also taken action for boycott protests. Despite the rectorate's statement that "there is no situation such as the cancellation of classes and/or the postponement of exams," students are not attending classes.
Security locked the doors of the building at the Maçka campus on the students to prevent the boycott protest. After security locked the building door, students who jumped from the windows joined the protests.
ISTANBUL UNIVERSITY
Students continuing their protests at Istanbul University gathered in a forum they organized.
Students from molecular biology and genetics, biology, aquatic sciences, and dentistry met at the forum they organized.
YILDIZ TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
At Yıldız Technical University, the Beşiktaş campus remained empty after students decided to boycott.
GALATASARAY UNIVERSITY
The student boycott protest continues at Galatasaray University. Students who placed a whiteboard at the faculty entrance wrote, "GSÜ students cannot be indifferent enough to attend classes under these conditions! Academic boycott!"
BOĞAZİÇİ UNIVERSITY
Students at Boğaziçi University also decided to boycott. Classrooms remained empty following the boycott decision by students who did not attend classes.
