Individual who stabbed doctor 4 times explains reason for attack: 'He implanted artificial intelligence in me'

In Niğde, an individual attacked the doctor who had performed his brain surgery with a knife. The doctor, who was stabbed in 4 places, was taken under treatment at the hospital where he works. While being referred to the courthouse, the attacker stated that he tried to kill the doctor on the grounds that 'artificial intelligence had been implanted in his brain.' An investigation has been launched into the incident.

According to the information obtained, in the incident that took place in the polyclinics section of Niğde State Hospital; Dr. Burak Yürük, who works in the Neurosurgery Department, was subjected to a knife attack by his patient T.S. (62), whom he had previously operated on, for a reason yet to be determined.

While Yürük was injured by knife wounds to various parts of his body, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. It was stated that while Dr. Yürük was taken under treatment at the hospital, T.S., who is alleged to have psychological problems, was caught and taken into custody.

T.S., who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, gave the following response to the question of why he stabbed the doctor:

'He is not confessing to his crime. He implanted artificial intelligence in me. His devices are in my head.'

While an argument broke out between Yürük and his patient T.S., who came for treatment, at the Neurosurgery Department of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Training and Research Hospital yesterday afternoon, T.S. stabbed Yürük in the head and various parts of his body. T.S., who was neutralized by the intervention of security guards, was taken into custody by police teams dispatched to the hospital.

It was noted that 34-year-old Yürük, whose health condition is good, had performed the brain surgery of 62-year-old T.S. some time ago. While the police have launched an investigation into the incident, the suspect was referred to the prosecutor's office after police interrogation.
