Jokes from İmamoğlu in police custody: 'Give this place to the IMM for a week...'

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) regarding 'terrorism' and 'corruption'.
Within the scope of the investigation, detention warrants were issued for over 100 people, including IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
İmamoğlu was taken into custody during a dawn raid on his home yesterday morning.
Republican People's Party (CHP) Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın provided an update on the status of İmamoğlu, who is being held in custody, on Sözcü TV.
Stating that Ekrem İmamoğlu has won everyone over at the police station, Günaydın said, "Ekrem İmamoğlu remarked at the police station, 'The physical conditions here are so poor. Give this place to the IMM for a week so I can turn it into a proper Police Department.'"
Günaydın emphasized that İmamoğlu's morale is high.
