As a guest on a television program, Kılıçdaroğlu clarified his 'I was stabbed in the back' remarks, which remained on the agenda for a long time during his party's change process.
Kılıçdaroğlu clarified those words on the special broadcast of "KRT Soruyor." Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu spoke as follows:
WHY DID HE SAY 'I WAS STABBED IN THE BACK?'
"It was debated a lot. It is still being debated. Ethics, moral values, and trust are very important in politics.
You conduct many events in mutual trust with the friends you build relationships with, the people you are comrades and fellow travelers with.
But it is not right to pursue a different path by discussing things behind closed doors beyond discussing them face-to-face with this trust.
From that perspective, I used the term 'dagger' at the Congress.
Your fellow traveler should not betray you. If there is a hesitation or a different opinion, it can be voiced very comfortably.
This is in the fabric of the CHP. We always value criticism.
I never interrupted the words of friends who criticized me during my chairmanship process.
I always trusted my friends. We shared our views and secrets within that trust.
Being a fellow traveler is not an easy task. I had said, 'It was difficult to be a fellow traveler of Mr. Kemal.' It is indeed difficult. It means being together in sorrow and in joy."
