The highly anticipated CHP party congress lawsuit was heard today at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance. The request for the interim suspension of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, as well as members of the Party Assembly (PM) and the Central Executive Board (MYK), was rejected. The court adjourned the case to October 24 without issuing an interim injunction.
Former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who has maintained his silence throughout the process, was at his home during the hearing.
Following the announcement of the decision, Kılıçdaroğlu left his home with his lawyer, Celal Çelik, and went to his office.
Kılıçdaroğlu did not respond to questions from members of the press.
